Tim McGraw, Faith Hill To Be Honored With 2014 Harmony Award

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been a great impact on country music for years, both in their careers as soloists and duos always surprising, as the recent 'Meanwhile, Mama. "They have also managed to significantly influence the music scene in the city of Nashville, with a view to receiving the next Harmony Award.



The couple will get their reward on 13 December 2014 at the invitation-only balls Symphony Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. Attendees will enjoy a special performance by Hill and McGraw, who also lend their voices to the symphony. This is the 30th anniversary of the event and is a fundraiser for the Nashville Symphony.

The award is given annually Harmony, and individuals are chosen based on how they exemplify the harmonious spirit of the music community in Music City. Artist countries have often been the recipients of this prestigious award - past honorees include Brad Paisley Harmony in 2013, in 2012 Keith Urban and Taylor Swift in 2011.

"Through the years, the Harmony Award has recognized many in Nashville for his contributions to the unique culture of our city, and both faith and Tim have more than earned their place alongside the names of all past recipients," says Alan Valentine, Nashville Symphony president and CEO, in a press release. "Not only featured artists are two outstanding individuals who have helped make Nashville the creative capital that is thriving, and we are pleased to honor them with this award."

Other country stars included in the event are awarded with Amy Grant and her husband Vince Gill, who will host the patron party.

McGraw just released their new album 'Sky City Sundown' and took over Taste of Country in celebration.
